I've used the API to modify my lights based on the album covers of the currently playing track on my Spotify: https://gist.github.com/tvldz/1210619db98302be3e9c972737e979.

I think that a lot of societal ills can be chalked up to "low interest rate phenomena." Silicon Valley has had a decade to play with free money. What do they have to show for it? Smartphone CRUD apps, subsidized gig workers, influencers and child consumers. Let's keep raising interest rates.

I spent part of my childhood in Boardman. Rusty N Edie's BBS was a local number. I didn't know how good I had it until we moved to another state. I recall that "Fred Martin's BBS" was another fantastic local BBS in the Youngstown area.

I like this dude.

I always keep a legitimate binary of BZFlag around and make sure my hacked version hashes that one instead of itself.

Fairfax County, VA.

As a counter to this, my local Micro Center is absolutely booming. I built a fast gaming machine earlier this year, and found all of my desired components in-stock there, with no compromises. Their prices were identical to the lowest prices online, and they offer price match anyway. All of my Ubiquiti stuff I got there as well. They have an expanding hobbyist electronics section that consumed the old physical software/gaming space. They have other great hobbyist stuff like retro gaming and drones. I've just taken it for granted, not realizing that many people consider Micro Center a PC builder "Mecca".[0]

I had a copy of this as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I can't ever forget the picture of the "cholera bed."

I have a virtual FreeBSD box running dnscrypt-proxy. It's configured with CloudFlare for DNS over HTTPS.

The prospect of curing diseases is wonderful. But for now, we're just using these algorithms to figure out how to maximize the amount of time people spend staring at their phones.

Was she killed because she was incompatible with society?

Can I somehow integrate this with my 1982 DeLorean?

"Connecting the world" to our lucrative public manipulation platform. I'm sick of the phrase.

No fees on ATMs, including international ATMs. Also, their 24/7 Chat Support is stellar.

Roads are public, and everything around roads and transportation is highly regulated and engineered with actual PUBLIC HEALTH and SAFETY at its core.

"Maybe it costs a life by exposing someone to bullies. Maybe it facilitates genocide."

Wow, that is awful.

Frankly, it sounds like a cult.

They will actively ignore problems that deal with public health and security, but promise to "cure all disease" through philanthropy. Please.

Is it possible to create an app that can easily remove personal info, and delete all posted content that is, say older than n days old? If so, is there a new demand for this kind of app?

I too have experienced buzzing and grating sounds and vibrations during sleep paralysis, or during a false awakening. It happened frequently in college when my sleep schedule was broken.

I'm skeptical. Part of me thinks that this is mass hysteria.

There's so much strange hand-wringing in a loud subset of the security community. The DoJ has a 93% conviction rate because they pursue strong cases that usually end in a plea-bargain. The FBI aren't spooks. The evidence will become public. If this guy profited off of banking trojans then I, for one, hope he ends up in the clink.

Right! They show him in a later season, working at a Foot Locker, right?
